It was in the Spring of 2000 when I first had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing area of Chianti Classico.

I had left Basilicata for an interview at an "agriturismo" in Tuscany. Gradually as I approached the Chianti hills, I slowly realised how enchanting this area was, with its beautiful hills and remarkable vineyards.

When I reached Gaiole in Chianti, I felt I had arrived in a kind of paradise.

I worked for 3 years as maître d’hôtel in the agriturismo, after which, having got to know the delights of tasting the Tuscan nectar, I decided to change my work.

In 2003 I acquired and took over the enoteca "La Cantinetta del Chianti".
